Marlin del Rey Catamaran – Tamarindo & Playas del Coco

Departing from the beach in Tamarindo, you will enjoy a 4.5-hour sail along Costa Rica's spectacular coastline on one of the purpose built catamarans.  All are open and spacious allowing passengers to comfortably enjoy the blue water views of the Costa Rican coastline with its pristine beaches and verdant jungles. Enjoy the view with a cold tropical drink, prepared and served by the crew as you scan the seas for dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish or even a breaching whale.

This tour runs in the Tamarindo area, about 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 30 minutes from Liberia International Airport (LIR) depending on traffic and your exact hotel.

Sails run all year. Winds are lightest from about May to November, which usually means a smoother afternoon on the water; the Papagayo winds from December to April can make the sea livelier. Sunset is as early as 5:17pm in November and as late as about 6:10pm in July, so departure times shift through the year.
