This tour runs in the Tamarindo area, about 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 30 minutes from Liberia International Airport (LIR) depending on traffic and your exact hotel.

Underwater visibility is the thing to plan around. The Papagayo winds stir the water from about December to April, and the calmest, clearest mornings tend to fall in the green season from May to November. Giant mantas are most often seen at the Catalina Islands between November and April.
