Turtle Watching Night Tours with Expert Naturalist

Costa Rica is the best place in the world for the observation of sea turtles! Every species of turtle except 1 can be seen in Costa Rica, North of the leatherback turtle national park we have the opportunity to see up to 3 kinds! This is one of the most intimate nature experiences one can have.

This tour runs in the Tamarindo area, about 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 30 minutes from Liberia International Airport (LIR) depending on traffic and your exact hotel.

This one is strictly seasonal and the rules are tight: guided night tours on the beaches north of Playa Grande run roughly mid-November to mid-April, and Ostional’s olive ridley arribadas are biggest from July to November. No operator can promise a sighting.
